Roger A. Ferenbaugh

MOUNT VERNON — Roger A. “Rog” Ferenbaugh, 54, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, as the result of an accident.

He was born June 15, 1954, in Mount Vernon to Rodney A. and Nellie R. (Summers) Ferenbaugh. He was employed by Facemyer (FM Earth) excavating, and formerly worked for 27 years with Kokosing. He was a member of Union 1216 in Mansfield, and his hobby was his animals and farming. He also loved hunting, the Browns and Buckeyes, Ford trucks, and his tools.

He is survived by his parents, Rodney Ferenbaugh of Bangs and Nellie Ferenbaugh (Jim Elliott) of Danville; his wife, Pat of Mount Vernon; a brother, Steve Ferenbaugh (Nancy) of Danville; daughters, Renee (John) Doretich of Danville and Amanda (Eric) Strouse of Glenmont; a son, Mike Ferenbaugh of Danville; and grandchildren, Jessica Dawn, Gunor, Dylan and Blake.

Calling hours will be Friday, Sept. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 10:30 a.m. Evangelist Dave Jones will officiate. There will be no burial.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Danville Athletic Boosters for the football program, 405 S. Market St., Attn. Athletic Director; or to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. They also invite anyone to bring in any pictures to share that they might have of Roger.
