CENTERBURG — John George Scanlan III, 44, of Centerburg passed away Sept. 19, 2008. His death was sudden, unexpected and heartbreaking.
He was born Jan. 30, 1964, to John George Scanlan Jr. and the late Rosemary LeFevour Scanlan. John attended The Ohio State University.
He is survived by his wife, Nicci (Quelette); son, Griffin; daughter, Madison; father, John Scanlan Jr.; brothers, Brian, Kevin, Patrick and Edward; sisters, Colleen Derderian, Maureen Sanford and Kathleen Ochall; mother- and father-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Quelette; two sisters-in-law; 28 nieces and nephews; one great-niece; two great-nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as innumerable friends.
Friends may call Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vineyard Church, 1001 W. Cherry St., Sunbury, where memorial services will follow at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury.
