Lillian Young Wade

FREDERICKTOWN — Lillian Young Wade, 76, of Shipley Road, Fredericktown, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Nov. 8, 1931, in Glade Springs, Va., to the late Walter L. and Neva E. (Heaton) Lethcoe. Lillian enjoyed her southern cooking and sitting around with family listening to country gospel or playing her guitar. She enjoyed a lot of the simple things in life, but most important to her was the quality time she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney “Rocky” Wade; a son, John J. Young of Orlando, Fla.; four daughters, Patti (Dennis) Osenga of Lodi, Calif., Joni Fryer of Orlando, Fla., Linda (Kendall) Corrie of Walton, Neb., and Kelly Johnston of Lexington, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; stepson, Martin Wade of Grove City; and stepdaughter, Marsha Tate of Bellefontaine.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack J. Young; a son, Larry Stewart Young; 11 brothers and sisters, Kyle Lethcoe, Claude Lethcoe, Cora Moore, Mary Castle, Faye McGlockin, Chester Lethcoe, Elmer Lethcoe, Penny Singleton, Roberta Castle, Ruby Castle and her twin brother, Lester William Lethcoe.

Friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. The Rev. Tim Hancock will officiate. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, Fla.
