MOUNT VERNON — Rose Mary Kidd, 81, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away Oct. 24, 2008, at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born May 5, 1927, in Jersey, Ohio, to the late William and Mary (Hite) Coakley. Rose Mary was a member of the Mount Vernon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her four children, Richard L. (Diana) Kidd, William F. Kidd, Larry J. (Kristine Boyd) Kidd and Kathy A. (Dan) Broceus, all of Martinsburg; two sisters, Edna Van Winkle and Helen Jewell, both of Bladensburg; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kidd; brothers, William and Robert Coakley; and a son-in-law, Gary Gallwitz.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Martinsburg Methodist Cemetery with Mr. Steve Andrews officiating. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, is handling the funeral arrangements for the Kidd family.
