Eunice 'Polly' McKee

MOUNT VERNON — Eunice Pauline “Polly” McKee, 81, of Hopewell Road, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at her home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Centerburg to the late Henry and Oletha (Clark) Feasel. Polly was employed as a credit manager for the Licking Rural Electric Co., from which she retired after 27 years of service. She was a past member of the Kokosing Valley Saddle Club, Mohican Saddle Club, Ohio Show Horse Association, Pinto Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple. Polly also loved and cared for her dogs and cats.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Earl McKee; her son, Robert H. (Marlene C.) McKee of Bellefontaine; a grandson, Jason (Melissa) McKee of Middleburg; a great-granddaughter, Angel; and two sisters, Joanne (Tom) Moore of Mount Vernon and Gwen (Ray) Davis of Mount Vernon.

Besides her parents, Polly was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Bill Fennell officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery on Grove Church Road.
