BRINKHAVEN — Frank J. Matheny, 31, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009.
He was born Nov. 14, 1977, in Cleveland to Dagmar Louise (Petrella) and Ricky Lee Matheny. He married J. Brooke (Thorp) on Oct. 19, 2002. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved playing and watching football.
He is survived by his wife, J. Brooke Matheny; daughter, Gracie; his parents, Rick and Dagmar Matheny; brothers, Ricki and Vic Matheny; grandparents, Victor and Margaret Matheny; nieces, Kayla Matheny and Mikayla Little; nephews, Kody Matheny, and Gage and Gaven Little; and sister-in-law, Robin Lint.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard and Trixie Petrella; aunt, Patricia Petrella; and in-laws, Gregg and Diane Thorp.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. at the Millwood Church of Christ. Evangelist Dave Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery in Danville. Calling hours will be at the church Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
