Jean E. Primosic

MANSFIELD — Jean E. Primosic, 84, of Mansfield died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at MedCentral Mansfield.

Born April 27, 1924, in New Texas, Pa., she was the daughter of Frank and Mamie (Langford) Elliott. Jean and Peach moved to Ohio in the early 1950s where she retired from the Mansfield Board of Education where she worked as a secretary. She was a 50-plus year member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church. After her retirement, she moved to Venice, Fla., from 1987 to 2000 and enjoyed collecting sea shells at the beach. Jean was a member of the Lexington Variety Club and enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo, but her greatest joy was her family.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley (Hubert) Primosic-Stewart of Mansfield; a son, Ed Primosic of Utah; two sisters, Katherine Griesmyer of Mount Vernon and Alva Corcoran of Simi Valley, Calif.; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert W. “Peach” Primosic, in 1973; and a brother, Gerald.

Friends may call Monday, Jan. 5, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield, OH 44906, where services will be held at 11 a.m. conducted by Pastor Jack Sharp. Burial will be Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Plum Creek Cemetery, 670 New Texas Road, Plum Borough (Pittsburgh), PA 15239.
