MOUNT VERNON — Junedean Mary Emmert, 77, of Mansfield Avenue, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 31, 2008, at her home.
She was born Dec. 4, 1931, in East Barre, Vt., the daughter of the late Dean and Annie (Bresovsky) Batchelder. Junedean was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and worked as a professional legal secretary for 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Emmert; a son, John David (Nataliya) Emmert of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Deborah Wiegele of Lawton, Okla.; three grandchildren, Adam (Marcie) Estes, Mindy (Bill) Stubblefield and Amber Wiegele; four great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Kala, Devon and Scott; and an identical twin sister, Maydean A. Niedomys of Corry, Pa.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Erwin Batchelder; and four sisters, Hazel Desilets, Nellie Desilets, Eva Owens and Erdine Batchelder.
The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 5, from 1 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
