Timothy A. Martin

GLENMONT — Timothy Allen Martin, 51, of Glenmont died Friday morning, Jan. 2, 2009, at his home following an extended illness. At Tim’s request there will be no services or calling hours. Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.

Timothy was born April 3, 1957, in Millersburg and was the son of Raymond and Rosalie (DeWitt) Martin.

Surviving is his beloved wife, Lorie (Turbeville) Martin. They had been happily married since Dec. 28, 2001. Also surviving are stepsons, Bryan McWhorter, Charles McWhorter, Daniel McWhorter, Richard Turbeville and Christian Turbeville; and stepdaughter, Jodi Landon.

He is also survived by brothers, Larry Martin of Big Prairie and Jeffrey (Sheila) Martin of Glenmont; sisters, Pat (Dan) Doolitte of Glenmont, Shirley Reiheld, Nancy (Jim) Shaffer and Beth Smith, all of Wooster; mother-in-law, Delphia Wilson, and father-in-law, Garland Fletcher, both of Mount Vernon; brother-in-law, Bill Turbeville of Mount Vernon; brother-in-law, Rick (Brenda) Turbeville of Danville; sister-in-law, Cindy (Leonard) Rice of Millersburg; brother-in-law, Jessie Turbeville of Mount Vernon; and many nieces and nephews.

He worked many years at Briar Hill in Glenmont as a supervisor. He loved the outdoors, fishing, canoeing, mushroom hunting, camping, nature and his beloved dogs, Nikko and Crash. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends — we love you Tim!

He was preceded in death by his parents.
