ORLANDO, Fla. — Justin G.W. Hammond, 28, of Windhover Drive, Orlando, Fla., and formerly of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fla.
He was born Jan. 11, 1981, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to Walter J. Hammond of Mount Vernon and Beverly (Fred) Bostic Edwards of Mount Vernon. Justin was a 1999 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and worked in computer software with ResaleWorld.com.
Besides his parents he is survived by a brother, Andy (Misty) Hammond of Howard, Ohio; a nephew, Carson Scott Hammond; two stepsisters, Angela Ellis and Jennifer Edwards; maternal grandmother, Blanche Ferguson; paternal grandmother, Ellen Hammond; an aunt, Linda Rine; aunt and uncle, Bob and Kay Bostic; many other aunts, uncles, cousins; and his feline companions, Tigger and Mercedes.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Winfred Bostic; and paternal grandfather, Bill Hammond.
Friends may call on Monday, Jan. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 20, at noon. Private burial will be held at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
