Patricia A. Elkins

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Patricia A. Elkins, 75, of Melbourne, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at her home in Florida. Born Feb. 8, 1933, in Mount Vernon, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by sons, John Elkins, Douglas (Barbara) Elkins and George (Julie) Elkins, all of Fort Wayne, Ind., James (Rene) Elkins of Hanceville, Ala., and Ricky (Jennifer) Elkins of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughters, Kathi Elkins of Melbourne, Fla., Debbie (Duane) Ahrens of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Pamela (Patrick) Yeater of Huntington, Ind.; brothers, Richard Booth, John Booth, David Booth, Roger Booth and Thomas Booth, all of Ohio; sisters, Sandra Cunningham, Jean Snow and Nancy Kent, all of Ohio, and Sue Bunn of Florida; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Elkins; sons, Terry Lee and Larry Lee; brothers, Robert and Jim Booth; and sisters, Marleen, Joan and Jane.

Service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Ind., with visitation today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.

Memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or a hospice of the donor’s choice.
