Ollie “Monnie” Moore

MARENGO — Ollie “Monnie” Moore, 90, of Marengo died Sunday morning, Jan. 18, 2009, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.

She was born June 12, 1918, in Johnson County, Ky. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a homemaker and a farm wife. She loved her family and Sunday dinners were a big part of her life. Her house was like Grand Central Station with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, friends and neighbors coming and going.

She is survived by daughters, Lydia Dutton of Marengo, Ella Jacobs of Ashley, Margie (Robert) Hunt of Delaware and Deborah (William) Hart of Marengo; 10 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Ernie of Ostrander.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie T. Moore, on April 8, 1988; daughter, Carolyn, in 1944; son-in-law, Virgil “Bud” Dutton; four brothers; and three sisters.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury, with Steve Phillips officiating. Condolences may be expressed at www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.
