DELAWARE — Cecil William Rhoads was born Nov. 6, 1913, and passed on to his eternal reward Jan. 21, 2009.

He was the son of William H. and Gertrude M. (Budd) Rhoads. He was a member of the Delaware Holiness Church; farmed and drove truck for Galena Brick and Carter Lumber, where he retired in 1988. A good husband, loving father and grandfather.

Surviving are six children, Patricia (Robert) Burns, Tina Beavers and Pamela Scott, all of Marengo, Kenneth (Becky) of Delaware, Russell (Debra) of Sunbury, Phillip of Fredericktown; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Laurence; and five sisters, Lucille, Dorothy, Opal, Juanita, Erma.

His beloved wife of 62 years, Elizabeth, passed away Jan. 14, 2000. He was also preceded by one brother; six sisters; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Rhoads.

Visitation is today from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, Delaware. Funeral will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Bible Holiness Church with Pastor Aaron Hamilton officiating. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Condit.
