COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Mrs. Margaret Ann “Marge” (Wells) McKee, 74, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tenn. At the time of her death she was surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. James McKee officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
A native of Mount Vernon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Delbert Wells and Dorothy (Purbaugh) Wells and a 1952 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved playing bingo, bowling and antiquing. She was affectionately known at Pillow Park as “Grandma.”
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wayne McKee of Columbia, Tenn.; two daughters, Lori McKee of San Francisco, Calif., and Lisa McKee of Williamsport, Tenn.; three sons, Mike (Tina) McKee of Louisville, Ky., Ron McKee of Columbia, Tenn., and Doug (Sandy) McKee of Duck River, Tenn.; sister, Patricia Ruggles of Mount Vernon, Ohio; brother, Terry Wells of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Wes McKee, Kelly McKee, Kristin McKee, Elizabeth McKee, Maygon McKee, Austin McKee, Amanda McKee and Ashley Zerweck; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Wells and Bill Wells; and one sister, Shirley Varlos.
Pallbearers will be Wes McKee, Austin McKee, John Zerweck and Adam Voss.
