NEWARK — A funeral service for Betty Irene Passman, 80, of Newark will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastors Ray Linn and Dave Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Mrs. Passman passed away Jan. 29, 2009, at the OSU East Hospital in Columbus. She was born March 19, 1928, in Hebron to the late Floyd and Ethel (Layman) Graham. She was a member of the Heath Church of Christ. She was employed as a secretary at Heath High School for nine years, Golf Works for seven years, and Licking Memorial Hospital for five years. She was a Charter Member and Past District Secretary of Heath Lions Club, Charter Member of Heath Fireman’s Auxiliary, Treasurer of Heath Senior Citizens Group, and Secretary of Golddiggers Bowling League.
She is survived by her children, Vicki (Dean) Higgins of Centerburg, Lori Bishop of Newark and Robert W. Passman of Jamestown, N.C.; sister, Ruth (George) Popham Sr. of Ormond Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Danielle Bishop of Newark, and Aaron and Katherine Higgins, both of Centerburg; sister-in-law, Louise Graham of Heath; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Passman; and two brothers, Earl and Wayne Graham.
Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark.
