MOUNT VERNON — Dawn L. Davis, 33, of Mount Vernon died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Dawn was born June 19, 1975, in Deer Park, Calif., received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from the Southwest Adventist University in Keene, Texas, and taught at the Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Hill Church in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are her husband, Rodney Davis; her mother and stepfather, Carla and James Darby of Mount Vernon; her father and stepmother, Randolph and Karen Brehms of Weaverville, Calif.; a stepson, Ryan Davis of Mount Vernon; a stepdaughter, Autumn Davis of Mount Vernon; her half sisters, Heidi Brehms of Weaverville, Calif., and Heather Brehms of Keene, Texas; her half brother, Justin Brehms of Omaha, Neb.; and two stepbrothers, James Darby Jr. of Perris, Calif., and John Darby of Redmond, Ore.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Hill Church, 535 Wooster Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
