SUNBURY — Mary Lou Beacom, 90, of Sunbury died Wednesday evening, April 1, 2009, at Countryview of Sunbury.
She was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Clinton County to the late Daniel and Mary (Higgins) Denehy. She was retired from Sunbury Community Library as a clerk/treasurer retiring in 1984.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis; sons, Daniel (Patricia), Robert (Margherita), Michael and Edwin (Cathy); 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Denehy.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; and sister, Rita.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., and Tuesday one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E SR 37, Sunbury, at noon on Tuesday with the Rev. David Sizemore celebrant. Interment will follow in Berkshire Cemetery.
