Wayne Rittenhouse Sr.

BRINKHAVEN — Wayne William Rittenhouse, 54, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, in Weirton, W.Va.

He was born Nov. 24, 1954, in Mount Vernon to the late Ralph William and Mary Etta (Ross) Rittenhouse. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his children, Mandy Rittenhouse of Mount Vernon, Wayne Rittenhouse Jr. of Brinkhaven and Marinda Rittenhouse of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Zoe Rittenhouse and Cloie Smails of Mount Vernon, Jordyn Rittenhouse of Centerburg, Wayne Rittenhouse III, Kaylee Ayers and Ryan Ayers, all of Mount Vernon, Jayden Wilson of Newark and Zerilda Fair of Mount Vernon; and siblings, Homer (Vicky) Rittenhouse of Brinkhaven, Alvin (Vicky) Rittenhouse of Bladensburg, Marinda (Raymond) Hammonds, Calvin (Loretta) Rittenhouse of Columbus, Harold (Jeannie) Rittenhouse of Weirton, W.Va., and Jeff (Pamela) Rittenhouse of Fredericktown.

A graveside service, with military honors from the Knox County Joint Veterans Council, will be held Thursday, April 9, at 3 p.m. in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Bladensburg. Viewing will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
