WESTERVILLE — Nora C. Daffin 78, of Westerville passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the Rose Garden Nursing Home in Mount Vernon, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Charles and Alice Gallion on Feb. 10, 1931, in Brownstown, Ind.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, Harold Daffin.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Linda) Daffin of Westerville; grandchildren, Chad and Ashley Daffin; brother, Doug (Jacqueline) Gallion, of Indianapolis; and sisters, Janice Scheuner of Washington, Ind., Mary Francis Neuhausel of California, and Bettie Stroebel of Washington, Ind.
Nora was Past Supreme Royal Matron, Supreme Council Order of the Amaranth Inc., Past Grand Royal Matron, Grand Court, of Indiana, Order of the Amaranth Inc., and Past Matron, Brookside Chapter 481, Order of the Eastern Star, among many fraternal organizations in which she held offices throughout her life.
Visitation was on Wednesday evening in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center -Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, 46228. A funeral service was this morning in the funeral home, with the Rev. Harold Steindam officiating. A private interment will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery.
