Andrew C. Dudgeon

GAMIBER — Andrew “Andy” Charles Dudgeon, 23, passed away April 8, 2009, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.

He was born Feb. 13, 1986, in Newark to Charles E. and Rita (Collins) Dudgeon. Andy was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where he was a former altar server, a member of the Grove 4-H Club and worked for New Hope Industries.

He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Rita Dudgeon of Gambier; brother, Michael (Tiffany) Dudgeon of Gambier; sisters, Danielle Dudgeon of Grandview, Anne Marie (Brian) Coxbill and Veronica Dudgeon, both of Laramie, Wyo., and Jessica Dudgeon of Toledo; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Collins of Mount Vernon; nieces, Madalynn, Natalie and Elizabeth Dudgeon and Hannah Coxbill; nephew, Jim Coxbill; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Frances Dudgeon; and his maternal grandfather, John Collins.

Friends may call Sunday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, where a rosary service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond and the Rev. Father Ted Thomas as celebrants. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.
