Robert D. Lucas

BRADENTON, Fla. — Robert D. Lucas, 80, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away April 9, 2009, at the home of his son, Terrel in Tipp City, Ohio.

He was born in Knox County on March 24, 1929, to Dorus and Marian (Johnson) Lucas. He graduated from Amity High School in 1947. He was employed at Cooper-Bessemer in Mount Vernon and retired from Anheuser-Busch in Columbus.

He is survived by three sons, Terrel (Aileen) Lucas of Tipp City, Ohio, Christopher of Danville and Matthew of Columbus; three daughters, Kimberly (Dennis) Biggs of Danville, Melody (Dave) Sindel of Millersburg and Heidi (Doug) Ransom of Mount Vernon; and grandchildren; one brother David (Julie) Lucas of Mount Vernon; and one sister, Ruth (Don) Morrison of Mount Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley; and one brother, Bernard.

At Robert’s request there will be no services.
