COLUMBUS — Marian Lucille McFadden, 69, passed on Monday, May 4, 2009.
She was born Sept. 15, 1939, in Dunseith, N.D., to the late Edward and Alice Stickland. She spent her youth in North Dakota and Washington State, and later in life she earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota. She married Bob McFadden on Valentine’s Day in 1959, and the two were married for 50 years. They dedicated their lives to one another, and Bob’s position with The Boeing Company led them to travel and live all over the world. Of all the places they lived, Marian loved Washington the most, and always considered it her home. She also loved cross-stitching, gardening, reading and the outdoors. She had a knack for decorating, and she made every house a warm, loving home.
Marian is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her daughter, Trisha (Daniel) Courts and their children, Geoffrey, Timothy, Quinton, Edward and Elizabeth; her son, Kevin (Leslie) McFadden, and their children, Jessica and Brianna; siblings, Leonard, Joy and Doris; and her cat, Kiki.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Delma, Lois, Ennis and Robert; her son, Todd McFadden; and her granddaughter, Alison May Courts.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Schoedinger-Norris Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
