Bobby L. Satterfield

MOUNT VERNON — Bobby L. Satterfield, 64, of Becky Lane, Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born May 6, 1945, in Mount Vernon to Charles “Shorty” (Beverly) Satterfield and Mary Jane Kemmer. Bobby worked for United Aggregates in Mount Vernon. Bobby loved being outdoors. He enjoyed working in his yard, hiking, kayaking and biking. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and playing with his granddaughter.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Carol (Antill) Satterfield; two daughters, Gayle (Tim) Rieder of Mount Vernon, Michelle (Kevin) Buchheit of Tucson, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Mia Rieder; his father of Bradenton, Fla.; and a sister, Beverly Baldwin of Bradenton, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The family will observe a private graveside service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Rev. James Taylor will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
