GREER, S.C. — Isabel Irene Porter of 128 Pinewood Drive, Greer, S.C., died May 19, 2009, after a long illness at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman, S.C.
She was born Oct. 15, 1919, and was a native of Mount Vernon, Ohio. She moved from Florida in 1989 to South Carolina, and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Greer, S.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay N. Porter.
She is survived by sons, Dan J. Porter and family of Greer, S.C., Ronnie D. Porter and family of Denver, Colo., and Roger Porter of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one sister, Margret Longfellow of Glenmont, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
