COLUMBUS — Marie C. Bartlett, 83, of Columbus, and formerly of Fredericktown, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus.
She was born April 1, 1926, in Delaware, Ohio, to the late Herman and Louisa (Balderson) Walter. Marie was a member of the Morris Grange, First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon and was a 4-H advisor for over 15 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Dick) VanMeter of Columbus and Carolyn (Angelo) Pezzullo of Niagara Falls, Canada; and two grandchildren, Michael and Justin Pezzullo.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Daniel Bartlett; a daughter, Sandra Kreiling; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Goff; three brothers, Roy, Robert and Avery Walter; and two sisters, Doris Michaels and Inez Fleshman.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College St., Fredericktown, Ohio 43019, where friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. The Rev. Bob Hendrix will officiate. Burial will follow in Morris Chapel Cemetery.
