MOUNT VERNON — Gretna M. Jones, 89, formerly of Muncie, Ind., passed away quietly in her sleep on May 29, 2009, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Yorktown High School and Indiana School of Business. She was a former co-owner of Buckles-Jones Insurance Agency. She was a charter member of Yorktown Church of the Nazarene and later joined Southside Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Miller, and son-in-law, John Miller, both of Howard, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Jones.
A memorial service to celebrate Gretna’s life will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. in the South Chapel at Elm Ridge Mausoleum at 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, Ind., with the Rev. Keith Kelly presiding.
