ST. LOUISVILLE — A funeral service for Charlotte L. Skeese, 89, of St. Louisville will be Saturday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at Wilson Cemetery. Charlotte died June 2, 2009, at her residence.
She was born March 20, 1920, in Eastland, Texas, to the late J. Edgar and Cora Rebecca (Francis) Bell. She was a member of the Eden Church of Christ, Hill-Toppers Senior Club, Eastern Star Chapter 551, past president of Blue Star Mothers, American Legion Auxiliary Post 85 Newark.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, K. David and Helen Skeese of St. Louisville, Thomas Skeese of Frazeysburg; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Robert Martin of Utica; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Nelson R. Bell of Newark; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and Ross McPeek of Newark; special friend, Patricia Skeese.
She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth N. Skeese, October 1991; two great-grandchildren; brother, Charles “Sony” Bell; and sister, Helen Vermilion.
Friends may call Thursday, June 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
