MOUNT VERNON — Georgia J. Perkins, 81, of Plaza Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born March 1, 1928, in Lorain to the late George and Ruby (Green) Kasson. Georgia loved to tend to her flowers and crochet. She owned and operated the Lock General Store in Lock for many years. Georgia was a member of the Victory Church of Christ in Mount Vernon.
She is survived by her son, Gary Hault of North Benton; three daughters, Lorraine Ormesher of Mount Vernon, Linda (Cory) Brown of Coshocton, Betty (David) Ferguson of Centerburg; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, June Dilger of Mount Vernon and Patty (John) Blair of Coshocton.
Besides her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Lee “Pat” Perkins; a brother; and a great-grandson.
A graveside service will be Friday, June 5, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Georgia J. Perkins.
