MOUNT VERNON — Sandra L. “Sandy” Wise, 71, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was born March 29, 1938, in Zanesville to William P. and Agnes Bertha (McVicker) Shepler and had been a resident of the Mount Vernon area for the past 48 years. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. Sandy worked with her daughter for the last 20 years at the Potpourri Cottage in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Harvey A. Wise, whom she married July 13, 1958 in Zanesville; her daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Blubaugh of Mount Vernon; her brother, Norman Everett (Amy) Shepler of Frazeysburg; her sister, Margaret (C.W. “Jake”) Morrison of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers, Morris E. Shepler and Henery G. Shepler; two sisters, Juanita McKee and Dorothea Miles; a nephew, Norman “Junior” Shepler; and a niece, Nancy Ann (Miles) Elliott.
Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, where a funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Warren Outhwaite will be officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
