Ray M. Eutsey

MOUNT VERNON — Ray M. Eutsey, 69, of Mount Vernon passed away Monday, June 22, 2009, at his home.

He was born May 1, 1940, in Indian Head, Pa., to the late Alfred and Frances Hyatt Eutsey. Ray was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed collecting coins, woodworking and watching sports. He was a quiet, gentle man who loved God and his family, especially the ones who called him Pap Pap and Grandpa.

Ray is survived by his wife of 44 years, Faye Harshman Eutsey; sons, Mark (Monica) Eutsey and their children, Clint, Clay and Corinne, Jeffrey (Pam) Eutsey and their children, Patrick, Jeffrey II and Kristen; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Eutsey and Glenn (Jean) Eutsey; sister-in-law, Dolores Eutsey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-laws.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George William Eutsey.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Galley Funeral Home in Dawson, Pa., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
