MILLERSBURG — Eva P. Mumaw, 91, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Sycamore Run Care Center.
She was born Jan. 13, 1918, in Tiverton Center to Raymond and Selina (Tarrh) Miller. She married Walter P. Mumaw on Jan. 16, 1935, who preceded her in death on June 13, 1993. She was a graduate of Tiverton High School in 1934. She worked as a telephone operator in Danville, and various jobs throughout her lifetime, mostly together with her husband, Walter.
Surviving is her son, Terry Mumaw and his wife Jody of Lakeville; two grandchildren, David Mumaw and his wife Trisha of Tiverton, and Stephanie Moreland of Mount Vernon; three stepgrandchildren, Daniel Horne, Dale Horne and Dewain Horne of Millersburg; one great-grandchild; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a companion of several years, Paul Hoxworth of Millersburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Baker; and a brother, Amos Miller.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Robert Pelfrey will officiate. Burial will be in Tiverton Cemetery on Ohio 206.
