MOUNT VERNON — Martha A. Baughman, 74, of Mount Vernon passed away Sunday morning, July 5, 2009, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. She formerly resided at the Hiawatha Village Apartments in Mount Vernon.
She will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends. There will be a great reunion in Heaven.
Martha was born March 21, 1935, in Westerville, a daughter of the late Aaron G. and Ruby (Ogden) Talbott. Martha worked for Chattanooga Glass/Diamond Bathurst and AMG Industries. She was a devoted member of Millwood Church of Christ. She was happiest while cooking and baking; she enjoyed collecting cookbooks and trying new recipes. She loved to crochet hats, scarves and afghans/throws.
Martha is survived by a sister, F. Jane (Jim) Roeder of Mount Vernon; a son, Daniel J. (Cindy) Baughman of Warren and Tamara J. Blamer of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Todd Baughman, Ruth Ann Adams and her three children, Travis Blamer of Mount Vernon, Danielle (Josh) Moreland of Bellville along with their three children. She leaves behind many nieces and cousins.
Dave Jones and Gene Lily will preside at her memorial service on Thursday, July 9, at 7 p.m. at the Millwood Church of Christ. There will be calling hours Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will be in Amity Cemetery at a later date.
