FREDERICKTOWN — Lillie Marie Stewart, 84, of Fredericktown passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the Ohio Eastern Star Home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Hopewell to the late Dale and Irma (Buker) Winegardner. Lillie managed several motels in the Bellville and Mount Vernon area. She always enjoyed traveling even if it was a simple car ride through the country.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia (Robert) Hoar of Fredericktown; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel (Frances) Nutt of Mount Vernon, Doug (Kathy) Stewart of Delphos, Ohio, and David (Donita) Stewart of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Evelyn) Winegardner.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Nutt; second husband, Claude Stewart Jr.; two brothers, Ralph Winegardner and Robert Winegardner; and a sister, Clara Shaffer.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Gerald Bell will officiate.
