PERRYSVILLE — Ethel M. Doup, 95, of State Route 97, Perrysville, died Thursday evening, Aug. 6, 2009, at her home after a six-month period of declining health.
Mrs. Doup was born Aug. 19, 1913, in Richland County, the daughter of the late Clarence Edwin and Luta J. (Freehafer) Derrow. She lived in the Mohican area all of her life and was a 20-year employee of National Seating Corp. of Mansfield. On Nov. 11, 1934, she married Ralph Doup and he died March 29, 1988.
Mrs. Doup is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Les) Albertson of Loudonville; one granddaughter, Staci Staats of Galveston, Texas; three great-grandsons, Jon (April) Spreng of Loudonville, Andy (Angie) Spreng of Gahanna and Tom (Lara) Spreng of Loudonville; two great-great-granddaughters, Riley and Hailey Spreng; and one sister, Nina Frye of Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Herschel, Donald, Donavan and Robert Derrow; and four sisters, Muriel DeLong, Dorothy Wise, Evelyn Derrow and Opal Wise.
Private family services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. There will no visitation.
