ST. LOUISVILLE — A funeral service for Imogene Bullock, 81, of St. Louisville will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Nodo and John Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Evans Cemetery. Imogene died Aug. 7, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Mount Vernon to the late George A. and Doris V. (Woodruff) Horn. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Louisville, Zerger Hall Retirement Group in Newark and Newton Extension Homemakers where she loved quilting and loved cooking. Imogene retired from Lord Howards, J.C. Penney in Newark and Klockner's Grocery Store in St. Louisville. She attended Welsh Hills Baptist Church in Granville and was a 1946 Utica High School graduate. Her love and joy of her life was her husband, children and grandchildren and she loved trips to Florida with her husband.
She is survived by her two children, Dennis (Mary) Bullock of St. Louisville and Karen (Tom) Bumpus of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren, Denise Bullock (Kevin Bennett), Erica Bullock, both of Newark, Christina Bullock of Mason, Teresa Bullock of Newark, Angela (Rob) Simmons of Fredericktown, Brandi Brokaw of Mount Vernon, Andy Brokaw of Memphis, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren, Emily (Ashley) Annett and Nicole (Scott) White, both of Mount Vernon; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur H. Bullock, who passed away May 6, 2007; two brothers, Kenneth Joseph and Jackson Donovan Horn.
Friends may call today, Aug. 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
