COLUMBUS — Henry D. Wilson Jr., 88, of Columbus died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at St. Ann’s Hospital.
He was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Sunbury to the late Henry D. Sr. and Nellie (Saunders) Wilson. He was a graduate The Ohio State University, a World War II Marine Corps veteran, vocational agriculture teacher at Ross High School and a farmer in the Sunbury area.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Cathryn (White) Wilson; brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Wilson of Highland, Mich.
Preceded in death by brothers, John and Elliott.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home; Masonic service at 8 p.m. and Eastern Star service to follow. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Sunbury United Methodist Church, 100 W. Cherry St., Sunbury, the Rev. Brian Smith officiating and friends may call at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
