MOUNT VERNON — Louise Elizabeth Poole, 75, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.

She was born May 26, 1934, in Marseille, France, to Mr. & Mrs. Victor Marchese. She married Jessie Poole Sr. on Oct. 12, 1953, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2007. She was a supervisor for the Motorola Corp., a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and loved bingo, knitting and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by two sons, Jessie (Becky) Poole Jr. of Atoka, Tenn., and Eddie Poole of Winnemucca, Nev.; a daughter, Beth (John) Higgins of Danville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters residing in France.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters in France, and one great-grandchild.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville with the Rev. F. Richard Snoke as celebrant. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held Sunday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. in the Chapman Cemetery in Munford, Tenn. Calling hours will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. Luke Catholic Church, with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements; www.fischerfuneralhome.com.Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke Catholic Church, P.O.
