MOUNT VERNON — Margie A. Buskirk, 77, of Mount Vernon died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Centerburg Point Nursing Home in Centerburg.
She was born March 6, 1932, in Mansfield to the late Clarence W. and Faye Anna (Mosher) Lehnhart. Margie retired in 1994 from Big Bear Supermarkets after 25 years with the company. She was a graduate of Mansfield Madison High School in 1950; she was also active in the Mount Vernon School system’s PTO and reading programs, but most of all was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Barbra Davis of Westerville; son and daughter-in-law, William and Alice Buskirk of Howard; grandson, Kyle Buskirk of Howard; stepgrandson, A.J. Banks of Howard; sisters, Mary Sulek of Oceanside, Calif., and Helen Rucker of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Buskirk, in 1997; and a sister-in-law, Ileen Justice.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., with Pastor Duke Hergatt officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A reception for friends and family will follow the graveside services at Justice Mobile Home Park, 1015 Harcourt Road, Mount Vernon.
