REYNOLDSBURG — Sandra E. Napier, 95, of State Route 256, Reynoldsburg, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at the Wesley Ridge Special Care Center in Reynoldsburg.
She was born Nov. 22, 1913, in Barberton to the late Verse and Josephine (Chermak) Ristick. Sandra retired in 1976 after 12 years of employment as secretary and treasurer of the Toledo Board of Education. She was a member of the Knox Chapter 236, Order of Eastern Star; Gay Street United Methodist Church; and served as a volunteer for the Red Cross.
She is survived by her children, John Napier of Michigan, James (Lynn) Napier of Florida, Mary (Robert) White of Columbus and Sandra (Jay) Kowalski of Toledo; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Napier; three brothers, Carl Ristick, Oswald Ristick and Merrill Ristick; and a sister, Helen Lazare.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where an Eastern Star Service will follow at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. The Rev. Dr. David Baker will officiate. Entombment will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
