FREDERICKTOWN — Paul E. Antill, 70, of Fredericktown died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Paul was born May 5, 1939, in Mount Vernon to Raymond V. and Helen L. (Drumm) Antill. He attended Mount Vernon High School and served with the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He retired from the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors in Ontario in 1989 after 29 years employment.
Paul was a member, past master and secretary of Thrall Masonic Lodge in Fredericktown and was a 32nd Degree Mason with memberships in Clinton Chapter 26 Royal Arch Masons, Kinsman Council 76 Royal Select Masons and Clinton Commandery 5 Knights Templar, all in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia (Shock) Antill, whom he married Nov. 5, 1960; his son, Neal (Cindy) Antill of Lexington; two grandchildren, Amanda Fuhrman and Tara Antill; his sister, Marie Collins of Mount Vernon; his brothers, Floyd Antill and Henry (Alicia) Antill, both of Mount Vernon, and Eldon Antill of Loudonville; and his sisters-in-law, Maxine Antill and Martha Jergens, both of Mount Vernon, and Miriam Antill of Orville.
Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Antill, Stanley Antill, Ralph Antill and James Antill; and his sister, Wilda Vance.
Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where Thrall Masonic Lodge will conduct memorial service following the calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
