HEBRON — A funeral service celebrating the life of Delores M. Bendure, 71, of Hebron will be held Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at 8 p.m. in the chapel of The Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville. Private family burial will follow in Mount Vernon.
Delores died Tuesday morning, Sept. 8, 2009, at her home following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of the late Lester M. Roe and Gertrude (Kent) Roe-Hazlett. She was a retired self-employed home cleaner for many years. She loved reading, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles and collecting ceramic dogs.
She is survived by her loving family, her mother and stepfather, Gertrude and Robert Hazlett of Mount Vernon; her daughters, Debra K. Smith of Jacksontown, Virginia D. Romine of Hebron and Lori J. Ballman of Pataskala; her son, Arthur B. Romine of Stockport; her brother, Dennis Roe of Lexington; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven, in 1985; her two sisters; and two brothers.
Her family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St. in Kirkersville, and where an online memorial and tribute is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.
