UTICA — A graveside service for Pauline D. Ulyon of Utica will be held Monday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. in Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Myers officiating where burial will follow.
Pauline died Sept. 8, 2009, at her residence. She was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Yugoslavia to the late John and Irene (Sustarsic) Znidarsic. She came to the United States at the age of 18 months and became a U.S. citizen. She resided in James City, Pa., until she married her husband of 59 years, Louis. They then moved and she established Ulyon’s Carry Out in Fredonia.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Gene Bullard of Northridge, Calif., Frances Beebe of Utica, Andrea and Bill Elk of Somerset; three grandchildren, Samantha (Scott) Beatty, Jacqueline Elk, Christopher Bullard; sisters and brother-in-law, Anne Orcechowski of Kane, Pa., Emma and John Morgan of Sayre, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Ulyon, who passed away March 17, 2006.
Friends may call Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m., at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
