Alice Winslow

MOUNT VERNON — Alice S. Winslow, 65, of Mount Vernon passed away Sept. 10, 2009, from an extended illness at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield.

She was born Jan. 20, 1944, in Raleigh, N.C., to the late James A. and Emma F. (Southerland) Neibarger. Alice was a member of the South Vernon United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included crocheting, making stuffed animals, drawing and painting. Alice resided at the Country Court Nursing Center for the last two years where she enjoyed the residents’ company and loved to play bingo. She was a woman who loved life and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Bethany Ann Winslow of Corpus Christi, Texas; three brothers, Jim (Marlene) Neibarger of Beach Island, S.C., Jack (Jenny) Neibarger of Mount Vernon, Bob (Mary Ann) Neibarger of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, William Keith Winslow, who died on July 17, 1996.

There will be no calling hours. Private burial will take place in Mound View Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Winslow family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s name to The American Diabetes Association, 471 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215
