BUTLER — John C. Jarvis, 60, of Butler passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, in The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born Jan. 20, 1949, in Mount Vernon. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he retired from Tri-Mor with seven years of service.
His surviving family includes his wife, Vickie (Peterson) Jarvis; their children, Karmel (Michael) Chillemi, Jonathan Jarvis and Kayla Jarvis; a grandson; his parents, Merle and Elouise Jarvis; sisters and brother-in-law, Sharon and Fred Reamsnider and Sheila and Jack Stewart; and four nieces and nephews.
The Jarvis family will receive friends today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Brother Fred Reamsnider will officiate. Burial will follow in Bunker Hill Cemetery, where American Legion Post 535 will hold graveside military honors.
