David was born Feb. 10, 1953, in Mount Vernon to Lester and Ruby (Grubb) George, was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and had spent his lifetime in the Mount Vernon area. He had been employed at the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for over 20 years and, following his retirement, he owned and operated the LG Dairy in Mount Vernon, which was started by his parents. David also maintained a farm, near Mount Vernon, for many years.
Surviving are his aunt, Dorothy Harwell of Westerville; and cousins, Jack Wantland, Betty Fraker, Denny Spearman, Dick Spearman, Judy Hysong, Larry Harwell, John Harwell, Vicki Maxwell and Cinda Coffing.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and his canine companion of many years, Kringle.
Friends may call today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery near Mount Vernon.
