BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Warren E. Lones, 70, of Brunswick died Oct. 2, 2009, at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Memorial service will be today, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Dixon officiating.
Born July 3, 1939, in Hardin County, Ohio, to the late Warren Sanderson and Hazel Belle (Elwood) Lones, he was a graduate of Kenton High School in Kenton, Ohio. Mr. Lones was a federal security officer employed with FLETC. He had also been employed with Ameriwood, Pinkerton Security and General Electric. Mr. Lones was a U.S. Navy veteran and attended North Brunswick Wesleyan Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Richard Gurney; a sister-in-law, Helen Clarice Burton; father-in-law, Henry C. Sapp; a nephew, Thomas Boatwright; and a cousin, Clarice McNabb.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Sapp Lones of Brunswick; four daughters, Kathryn Grubaugh and husband Hugh of Mount Vernon, Colene Breighner and husband Greg of Nahunta, Ga., Jolene Jones and husband Stephen of Tyler, Texas, Wanda Reeves and husband Steven of Palm Bay, Fla.; a son, William Lones of Brunswick, Ga.; mother-in-law, Mary Helen Sapp of Brunswick, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Irma Gurney of Kenton and Doris Ann Bishop and husband Richard of Republic, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Mary Himinez and husband Richard of Blythe Island, GA., and Ginny Boatwright and husband Thomas of Brunswick, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Tony Sapp of Brunswick, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins and friends.
