WARTBURG, Tenn. — Myrtle Ellen Hey, 98, died Oct. 3, 2009, at the Life Care Center of Morgan County, Wartburg, Tenn.
She was born July 3, 1911, to Mary Martin and Isaac H. Cartwright in London, Ohio. Myrtle worked at Felber Biscuit Co. for 25 years before retiring. At the age of 93, she moved to Lancing, Tenn., to be cared for by her great-niece, Dee Dee Hess.
She was preceded in death by husband, Rudolf M. Hey; brothers, Roy, William, Raymond, Francis, Robert, Harold and Richard Cartwright; sisters, Bertha Smith, Esta Gamel and Laura Cross.
Myrtle is survived by sisters, Ruth Kronk, Phyllis Brod and Mary Jane Welch; sisters-in-law, Betty Cartwright and Darline Cartwright; nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Mariah Mazur.
A graveside service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Cheshire Cemetery, Sunbury. Local arrangements by the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury.
