LEON, Kan. — Sharon Marie Sullivan, 62, of Leon, Kan., passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009.
Visitation was Oct. 11 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, and will be Thursday, Oct. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, Wis. Service will be Friday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. Burial will follow at Rienzie Cemetery, Empire, Wis.
Sharon was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, on Feb. 18, 1947, the daughter of the late Carl and Maxine (Beach) Campbell. She was the volunteer coordinator for Court Appointed Special Advocate (C.A.S.A.) and had been a foster mom. Sharon had spent her entire life protecting the rights of children. She had over 35 foster children over the period of her life.
On Dec. 31, 1980, she married David Sullivan and he survives. She is also survived by her children, Michelle Dunphy and husband, Jacob, of Burbank, Calif., Michael Sullivan and Megan Sullivan, both of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Tiara Wilson-Sullivan of Leon; stepson, Matthew Sullivan of Chicago; brother, Kenny Campbell of Anna, Texas; sisters, Sue Campbell of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Jean Campbell of Sarasota, Fla.; a grandson, Elliot Dunphy; three stepgrandchildren; and nephews and nieces, Travis, Kevin, Alan, Lindsey and Kelly.
