RICHWOOD — Wendell T. Green, 73, of Reeley Road, Richwood, Ohio, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Swanton, Md., to the late Daniel and Beulah (Broadwater) Green. Wendell worked as a warehouse manager for DCS in Newark. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Virginia (Walker) Green; five sons, Randy (Tammy Blamer) Green of Mount Vernon, Rick (Joyce) Green of Richwood, Bob (Rene) Green of Newark, Larry (Stephanie) Green of Utica, Keith (Casey) Green of Newark; three daughters, Mary Durbin of Mount Vernon, Peg (Terry) Stevens of Fredericktown and Tammy Green of Richwood; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Winston Arden (Bertha) Green of Oakland, Md.; and a sister, Dare Laboisonarre of Cumberland, R.I.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roderick Green; and a brother, Warren Green.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College St., Fredericktown, Ohio 43019, where a funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Floyd Radabaugh will be officiating. Burial will follow in Green Valley Cemetery at Mount Vernon.
