Nancy L. Kudika

MANSFIELD — Nancy L. Kudika, 67, of Mansfield died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at MedCentral Hospital.

Born Feb. 1, 1942, she was the daughter of Clyde D. and Iona M. (Gruneisen) Swank. She was a member of the Cook Road Baptist Church where she was very active in the nursery and an Awana worker. She was also a member of the Harpcrest Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy loved playing the piano, reading, times at the beach and children.

She is survived by her husband, David Kudika of Mansfield; sons, Brad (Robin) Pugh and Greg (Jodie) Pugh, all of Mansfield; stepsons, Joshua (Ellen) Kudika of Florida and Jason Cooper of St. Louis, Mo.; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Bill) Keiler of Florida; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Jean Kudika of Mansfield; sisters, Jean (Dave) Sistex and Linda Swank, all of Mansfield; sisters-in-law, Bert Swank and Deb (Rick) Shafer, all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Swank.

Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Cook Road Baptist Church, 54 E. Cook Road, Mansfield, conducted by the Rev. Jack Hackworth. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery.
